What is Integrative Parts Work?
Integrative parts work is a therapeutic modality based on Internal Family Systems and Psychosynthesis.
Just how societies in the macrocosm build systems for coherence, the internal microcosm within you creates a system to ensure its survival.
It’s a powerful journey to reclaiming your truest essence and integrating all the many parts that live within you.
These two frameworks affirm that there’s many parts that live you - also known as subpersonalities - that have developed through your life’s journey.
The part of you who feels compelled to defend, avoid, or protect.
… The younger parts of you who want to play.
…Or the more vulnerable parts of you who hide or stay tucked away.
Instead of just seeing yourself as just one personality, parts work honors all the parts of you that protect, adapt, or survive.
Parts work serves as a roadmap to self-acceptance.
It serves to remind you that you’re more than just your thoughts and emotions.
It serves to bring harmony within you.
It not only helps you understand the many voices, feelings, and patterns within you.
But it also expands and heals your interpersonal dynamics with others.
In that expansion and healing, this powerful modality paves the way for collective healing.
Creativity Nourishes the Heart
I’ve always been a soulful creative at heart. Creativity has brought so much healing into my life, whether it’s poetry, singing, dancing, doodling, or playing with clay.
Not only does creativity heal, but it also serves as a bridge to you and your inner child. When you enter into that timeless space, worries and everyday stresses dissolve. And connection and harmony evolve.
Creativity Opens the Door to Our Intuitive Wisdom
With a background transpersonal psychology, I also weave a mix of practices that helps you connect to your inner child work, subconscious, and body. This includes creative expression, visualization, a deep dive into the subconscious, embodied movement, ritual with the 4 elements (earth, air, fire, and water), breathwork, and sound.
Those Who Can Benefit
If you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, overwhelm, or perhaps you feel disconnected from yourself, and others, or you long for a greater sense of purpose in life, then this work is highly beneficial.
This work can also benefit those who want to integrate the inner child, want a safe space to feel held and seen, connect with their creativity, explore the realms of the subconscious, or bring more meaning into their lives.
The Only True Healer is You
While guidance from a therapeutic professional may be key, I firmly believe that true healing lives within you. And only you. Consider me a gentle mirror, support, and guide to the creative wisdom and wholeness that already lives deep within you.
SE is a therapeutic approach to healing trauma stored in the body by regulating the nervous system and finding balance within the body, mind, and surrounding environment.
Have you ever wondered where an emotion lives in the body?
Unlike traditional talk therapy, SE integrates the body/mind connection by focusing on the body’s sensations, imagery/visualization, mannerisms, and awareness of your environment. By building this body awareness, you create more access to holistic wellness.
What does it truly mean to be embodied?
To be embodied is to be connected to the body and the present moment. To be in harmony with what is happening in your body. SE is centered on reclaiming, building, and strengthening a connection to Self, others, and your environment.
At its essence, SE allows you to attune to the senses within the body and the space around you. And when you can connect and attune to both Self and others, you build resilience and a deeper sense of wholeness.
To truly heal we need to feel safe. Safety is essential to cultivating wholeness and sovereignty within. Without it, your internal structure becomes imbalanced, which then can create dis-ease and stress in the body, mind, and soul.
And the root of your sense of safety lives in the nervous system.
With my studies in Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing (SE) and master’s degree in transpersonal psychology, I weave the somatic with soul work.
Somatic Experiencing is a powerful pathway to regulate the nervous system, reclaim the body’s innate intelligence, and to embody wholeness.
Transpersonal psychology is a pathway to nourishing the soul’s essence through creative expression, intuitive inquiry, and parts work.
Psychosomatic Meets Psychospiritual Growth and Healing
Your nervous system, story, and soul’s journey deserve to be met with care that honors your unique needs, challenges, struggles, and gifts to the world. In my practice, I blend my studies with transpersonal psychology and Somatic Experiencing (SE) to support you on your healing journey - on body, mind, and soul level.
